Salmon Teriyaky

This has quickly become my favourite way to cook a salmon fillet. It goes amazing with rice and the sweetness of the teryiaky complements the delicacy of the salmon extremely well.

Prep time: ~30mins | Serves: 2

Ingredients:

Preparation:

  1. Put the salmon skin side down and make light incisions in the fillet the way you would do a mango, careful to not cut too deep.
  2. Put it into a contaner and cover in teriyaky sauce.
  3. Leave to marinate for a few hours
  4. Start preparing the sushi rice
  5. Once that is 5min from bein done, put a griddle on a high flame
  6. Put the salmon fillet skin side down on the griddle and cook for 3mins
  7. Cover with the teriyaky left from the marinade and flip the fillets, the sauce will help create a nice crust on the fillets.
  8. Cook for 3mins and then serve with the rice.

Tips:

  • I usualy prepare the salmon at lunch for dinner so it can marinade nicely
  • Always start with the rice it will take the longest

Recommendations:

  • You can add some nice vegetables to this dish too. I usually go for something like broccoli and carrots, nothing too inavsive taste wise, and i steam them

Possible Substitutions:

  • Ehm you can have whatever side you want with it
